Meta Introduces AI Mode on Facebook that Pulls Public Content for Responses

Meta has announced a set of new AI-powered features on Facebook designed to help users find answers to their questions, create fun photos and videos, and interact with the platform using AI. Meta is trying to lead the AI race by bringing in new experiences for users.

One of the biggest announcements among the updates is AI Mode. It’s a new way for users to get answers to their questions directly within Facebook. AI Mode, the new search feature, uses Meta AI to deliver responses based on the publicly shared content across Facebook’s platform.

It pulls content from public posts, Groups, and Reels, allowing users to get real perspectives, summarized responses, and recommendations across Meta’s platform, rather than traditional search results lists.

Meta AI powered by Muse Spark is integrated into the Facebook experience you already use. It’s just moving one step forward with new enhancements and experience for users. As stated in Meta AI’s annoucement“Whether you’re searching or diving deeper into content, Meta AI is right here, ready to help.”

New Creative Tools for Photos and Videos

Alongside AI Mode, Facebook is bringing a set of new creative tools that use AI to make content creation and sharing easy. The camera roll sharing suggestions are being updated with collage cutout templates, new transition effects, and stylized video montages that are easy to share. Importantly, camera roll suggestions remain completely opt-in and can be disabled at any time.

With the new AI-powered photo presets, users can virtually modify clothing, hairstyles, and accessories. Sports fans can virtually wear their favorite team jersey. Here’s how they can do it:

  • Tap on the AI Edit icon in the stories.
  • Select the “Wear It” option available through your profile picture.
  • Tap Restyle profile picture with AI and select Wardrobe.

You can access the Wear It features in two ways:

  • Option 1: Via Stories: Tap the “AI Edit” icon in Stories and select “Wear It.”
  • Option 2: Via Profile Picture: Go to your profile picture, tap “Restyle profile picture with AI,” then select “Wardrobe.”

What does this Update Mean for Everyday Users?

These updates signal that Meta is broadening its push to expand its AI strategy across the Facebook platform. These new tools are designed to help users find answers faster, create engaging content, and enjoy a creative and personalized experience across Facebook.
