What is XaaS?
The “X” in XaaS represents anything that falls under the broad category of technology, products, and services related to cloud computing and/or remote access.
The rise of XaaS is not transforming just cloud technology, but almost every business as a whole, especially the online connected services.
The XaaS business model is creating endless new opportunities for both b2b and b2c buyers and sellers.
Most Anything as a service or everything as a service comprises of mainly 5 elements: Business Process, Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, Applications & Platforms.
The most successful and common is a software as a service (SaaS). The other two popular Anything as a Service consists of IaaS and PaaS.
The fastest-growing segment of the market is infrastructure as a service. The XaaS providers have spread to many new AIaaS (Artificial Intelligence as a Service), Blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS), BaaS (Backend as a service), CaaS (Content as a service), Database as a Service (DBaaS) ItaaS (IT as a service) and many more.

The future of XaaS seems to be very bright by the progress we are observing
There is a wide range of businesses that are yet to be included in the “as a service” box. Even companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, IBM, and many more are continually synching their technology and services concerning every new trend of XaaS.
The main reason for its rise is the ease of upgrading and more penetration of smart devices.
This directly or indirectly connects businesses to every possible market and consumer. This on the other hand also offers insights to the manufacturer and intelligent service to correct consumers.

And these are just some top players that are listed here. Almost every company is trying its hands on XaaS. Overall this would give rise to new services, new living standards, and new businesses.
Firstly, Software as a Service (SaaS) has providers like Shopify, Google, Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, WordPress, and Hubspot.
And the best Platform as a service software (PaaS) providers to date includes Acquia Cloud, Amazon, Red Hat OpenShift, Salesforce, Google, Zoho, Dokku, and Platform.sh. Meanwhile, IaaS has providers like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM SoftLayer, CloudSigma. Oracle Cloud, Vmware vCloud Air, Verizon Enterprise’s information technology IaaS solutions also provide Infrastructure as a Service.
By 2022, Gartner expects “90 % organizations buying public cloud IaaS will do so from an integrated Infrastructure service and platform as a service provider, and will use both the IaaS and PaaS capabilities from that provider.
Also, according to the report, the highest revenue will come from IaaS in the near future. Infrastructure as a Service will grow 32 percent this year.
Gartner predicts its growth of 27.6 % in 2019 to reach $39.5 billion, up from $31 billion in 2018.
