AUSTIN, Texas, July 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Exfresso, the pricing and logistics automation platform for modern freight forwarders, is now publicly available for licensing following its official launch at the Lognet Global Conference in Phuket. This milestone comes after more than a decade of deep development and operational testing with pilot partner Exfreight, and a successful soft launch with a group of early adopters last year.
Today, Exfreight is widely known as the world’s first digital freight forwarder. That reputation is the result of a long-term technology partnership built on shared goals and practical problem-solving.
The software that powered that transformation, eventually named Exfresso, was initially developed in-house to address a fundamental gap in the logistics industry: the lack of software that truly reflects how forwarders operate on the ground. Its development began 16 years ago as a focused effort to solve the growing pains of Exfreight, then an ambitious logistics startup led by CEO Charles Marrale.
What started as a collaboration quickly evolved into a full-scale, partnership โ one that not only helped define Exfreight’s strategy but also laid the foundation for a software platform now ready to serve the broader market.
“Exfreight has demonstrated what’s possible when a forwarder leans fully into automation,” said Scott Conley, CEO of Exfresso. “We’re proud that Exfresso has been an integral part of their journey.”
Engineers from Exfresso worked side by side with Exfreight’s sales and operations teams to design and build tools that solved the problems they faced daily: fast, accurate pricing, global coordination, labor-intensive workflows, and the need to scale without adding unnecessary complexity.
The result was a platform that delivered an immediate and measurable impact. Exfreight gained the ability to automate pricing, streamline labor, centralize data, and grow with speed and efficiency. That success helped define their status as a digital freight forwarder long before the term was commonplace.
Now, the software the two companies developed together has been spun off into a standard-alone SaaS product, available globally to freight forwarders of all sizes.
Following the 2024 soft launch, Exfresso’s public debut at Lognet’s 2025 global conference confirmed its readiness for broad adoption. The platform is now available worldwide and is designed to meet forwarders wherever they are in their digital journey: whether they are looking to optimize one part of their business or build a fully modern, scalable operation.
