NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Pipedrive, the easy and intelligent CRM for small and medium-sized businesses, announced today that its Model Context Protocol (MCP) Connector is now available directly in Claude’s official connector marketplace. Sales teams can connect Pipedrive to Claude in a few clicks, without manually configuring an MCP server URL. Within one month of general availability, more than 6% of Pipedrive’s paying customer base had connected to MCP, marking a remarkably fast rollout with the vast majority remaining active users.

Strong early adoption of Pipedrive MCP
The expanded availability comes as Pipedrive sees strong early customer adoption of its MCP capabilities. Within one month of general availability, more than 5% of Pipedrive’s paying customer base had connected to MCP, with the vast majority of those companies going on to actively use it.
“Customers increasingly expect to work with their CRM data wherever their work happens. The strong early adoption of Pipedrive MCP, reaching more than 6% of our paying customer base in its first month, shows there is real demand for that flexibility,” said Joe Futty, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Pipedrive. “Making Pipedrive directly available in Claude gives customers a simpler way to bring their CRM into the AI tools they choose to use.”
AI is becoming an everyday interface to CRM
Early usage shows customers primarily use AI to find, review, and maintain CRM information as part of everyday sales work, rather than for complex automation. Approximately 65% of Pipedrive MCP interactions involve reading CRM information, while 35% involve writing or updating it. The most frequent actions are retrieving activities and deals, updating contacts, and adding notes.
Claude is the primary environment for this use case: more than 93% of Pipedrive MCP interactions take place through Anthropic surfaces, including Claude.ai and Claude Code.
What can sales teams do with Pipedrive and Claude?
The Pipedrive MCP Connector lets Claude interact with supported Pipedrive CRM data and actions, subject to the user’s permissions. Customers can retrieve activities and deals, access CRM records, update contact information, add notes, and capture meeting information.
The connector now also supports Leads. Users can:
- retrieve existing leads from Pipedrive
- create new leads in Pipedrive
- update existing Pipedrive leads
Pipedrive plans to continue expanding its MCP capabilities with additional tools and supported workflows.
A simpler way to connect Pipedrive and Claude
Previously, users connected Pipedrive and Claude by manually configuring the MCP server URL. Now, new users can find Pipedrive directly inside Claude and connect their account without manual configuration. Existing connections have been automatically migrated to the marketplace connector and continue to work as before. Customers on a manual connection can switch by disconnecting it and reconnecting through Claude’s marketplace.
This update does not move or change customers’ Pipedrive data. Pipedrive remains the system of record; MCP is a standardized way for supported AI applications to interact with that data according to user permissions.
What is the Pipedrive MCP Connector?
The Pipedrive MCP Connector connects AI applications to Pipedrive CRM data and supports actions using the Model Context Protocol. It lets compatible AI applications, including Claude, retrieve information and perform supported actions in Pipedrive, giving sales professionals a conversational way to work with CRM data alongside Pipedrive’s existing interfaces.
What is Model Context Protocol (MCP)?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI applications connect to external tools and data sources. For Pipedrive customers, it gives supported applications such as Claude a standardized way to interact with Pipedrive CRM information and functionality.
